Ripmo AF V2 brings Ripmo’s legendary performance to an even more rugged, affordable aluminum package—with 160 mm of front travel and 150 mm of rear travel, efficient DW-Link suspension, and a flip-chip system that allows for riding with 29-inch or mixed (MX: 29″/27.5″) wheel sets in all sizes. It’s built for steep descents, rough terrain, and climbs where it rides better than you’d expect. It maintains speed and composure even when pushed well beyond its limits, delivering the same legendary ride experience as the carbon Ripmo—only in a more accessible, exceptionally durable aluminum version. The frame is available in five sizes—S, M, XM (Extra-Medium), L, and XL—with size-specific seat tube angles and suspension kinematics, so all riders experience a similar sense of balance, regardless of height or build. Approximately 80% of riders are between about 165 and 183 cm (5’5”–6’0”), so we’ve added the XM size to fill the gap in the middle of the range; if you were previously a definite L or XL, your size remains the same. The chainstay length and bottom bracket height are also tailored to each size, which helps keep the center of gravity where it needs to be and ensures predictable handling. With the new flip chip, you can easily switch all sizes between a full 29er and MX configuration without compromising the geometry. XM frames and larger sizes come standard with 29-inch wheels, while sizes S and M come with the MX setup; choose whichever suits you best. DW-Link remains the heart of the rear suspension—efficient when pedaling, smooth and stable on aggressive descents. Based on our experience with the race-proven HD6 model, we’ve updated the Ripmo AF with a more progressive curve, a shorter clevis, and ample space for the coil, making the frame compatible with most coil shocks on the market. Size-specific kinematics ensure that every size rides just as well and stays quiet on demanding trails. Hidden inside the down tube is a large storage compartment that takes the strain off your backpack. The clasp works reliably even in mud and cold, and even when wearing gloves. The zippers are water-resistant, rattle-free, and built to last. Two internal pouches are included for tools, snacks, or anything else you might need; they’re made of durable, water-resistant materials with a light-colored lining so you can quickly find what you need.
